What an amazing day with family in Guayllabamba. The Guayllabamba Zoo which is located in the northern part of the city of Quito, Ecuador, is home to over 500 animals. And the best part is that it represents more than 80 different species.

To my surprise the zoo is also a botanical garden, with over 1,500 species of plants. And if you did not know, the Guayllabamba Zoo is one of the largest zoos in South America, and it is the only zoo in Ecuador that is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
