Today I had a great opportunity to visit some of the major British muesums here in London. I am currently on the Exhibition Road in South Kensington and I am walking towards the famous Victoria and Albert Museum.
The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is my favorite museum – one of the world’s largest museums of decorative arts and design, with a collection that spans 5,000 years of history.
The museum is named after Queen Victoria and her consort, Prince Albert. The museum was founded in 1852 and originally housed in the Kensington Palace. It moved to its current location in South Kensington in 1857. The museum has since expanded to include the world’s largest collection of post-classical sculpture, as well as important holdings of Chinese art and antiquities.
The Victoria and Albert Museum is a must-see for any tourist visiting London. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city, with over 2 million visitors each year.
I get always excited when I board a train to London for an exciting day out. One day has never been sufficient to explore whole London. It’s too big, but if you have a plan, then you can make the most out of it.
