Quilotoa is a stratovolcano located in the Cotopaxi province, about 120 kilometers (75 miles) southwest of Ecuador’s capital city of Quito. The Quilotoa volcano has a very unique feature – its crater is filled with water!
And not just any water, but a gorgeous turquoise lake that is simply mesmerizing. The lake is about 3 kilometers (1.86 miles) in diameter and 400 meters (1,312 feet) deep.
